Scope and developer
This Privacy Policy applies to VisaGrid: ID & Passport Photo on iOS and Android (the “App”). “VisaGrid,” “we,” and “us” refer to the developer and publisher identified in the App’s official store listing.
This policy explains the App’s current production behavior. It should be read together with the privacy information shown inside the App and the platform terms that govern Apple App Store and Google Play services.
Photos and on-device processing
Camera captures and photos you select are processed locally on your device. Apple Vision is used on iOS, and bundled on-device ML Kit components are used on Android, to detect a face, create a subject mask, remove the original background, apply a white background, measure composition, and generate print layouts.
VisaGrid does not upload biometric photo files to its servers, use them for advertising, sell them, or use them to train machine-learning models. Files leave the App only when you intentionally save or share an export, or when your operating system performs a backup under your own device settings.
- Camera access: used only when you open the guided camera.
- Photo selection: used only for an image you choose through the system picker.
- Photo library access: used to save an export you explicitly request.
- No microphone, location, or contacts access.
Local projects and exports
Drafts, masks, thumbnails, and private projects are stored in the App’s private local storage. Exported photos and print sheets are saved to the destination you select, such as your system photo library.
Local project data remains until you delete the project or uninstall the App. Deleting an online account does not automatically remove files already exported to your photo library; those files remain under your control and must be removed using your device’s photo management tools.
Account and cloud data
You can use VisaGrid with an on-device profile without creating an account. If you optionally connect an account, Firebase Authentication processes the information required to sign you in and recover or secure that account. Depending on your chosen method, this can include your name, email address, Firebase user ID, email-verification status, and sign-in provider.
Firebase Cloud Firestore may store a minimal profile and preferences such as display name, supported platform, selected language, document standard, and timestamps. Firestore security rules restrict each signed-in user to their own profile and preferences.
- Google Sign-In is available on supported platforms.
- Sign in with Apple is available on iOS.
- Email and password authentication is available.
- Biometric photo files are not synchronized with account data.
Purchases and payments
Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit or by Google through Google Play Billing. VisaGrid does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
VisaGrid Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. To unlock paid features and prevent fraud, the App and its secure verification service may process a product identifier, purchase token or transaction identifier, purchase time, entitlement state, and an obfuscated account reference. Apple, Google, and their payment partners retain payment and transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
VisaGrid uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for account services, Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for identity, Apple App Store or Google Play for purchases, and Google AdMob on iOS and Android for advertising to non-Pro users. These providers may process network information, device information, authentication events, transaction metadata, advertising identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from an IP address as needed for their services.
AdMob may use or share device and advertising identifiers and related usage data to deliver, measure, limit, secure, and personalize ads where permitted. VisaGrid Pro customers are not shown ads. The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent where required and offers privacy choices in Settings when available. We do not sell personal data and never share biometric photos with advertisers or data brokers.
Retention, deletion, and account control
Account and preference data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse. Provider security logs and purchase records follow the retention schedules of Firebase, Apple, and Google.
You can delete your account from Settings inside the App. This removes the Firebase authentication account and synchronized profile data handled by VisaGrid. You can separately delete local projects in the App and exported files in your device photo library. If recent authentication is required, the App will ask you to sign in again before deletion.
Security and international processing
VisaGrid limits cloud records to the minimum needed for identity and preferences. Network communications use encrypted HTTPS connections, access is protected by authentication and database rules, and purchase entitlements cannot be written by the mobile client.
Firebase, Apple, and Google may process service data in countries other than your own under their contractual safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free, but we use reasonable technical and organizational controls appropriate to the data involved.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may deny camera or photo permissions, choose among the available sign-in methods, manage advertising privacy choices where available, purchase VisaGrid Pro to remove ads, restore purchases through the store, delete local projects, and delete your account. Some features cannot work without the permission or data strictly required for that feature.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Use the privacy contact mechanism below to submit a request.
Children and policy changes
VisaGrid is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country. We do not knowingly collect account data from children without appropriate authorization.
We may update this policy when the App, law, or service providers change. The current version will remain available at this URL with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated in the App or store listing when required.
Privacy contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact VisaGrid through the official support center. Account deletion is also available directly in the App under Settings.
